S7-300 compact CPUsThe S7-300-CPUs for the lower output range Expanded system functions, a significantly larger main memory and an enormous increase in the processing performance are distinctive features of this innovation. All compact CPUs have onboard peripherals and integrated technology functions. Some versions are also equipped with an integrated PROFIBUS DP interface (DP) or a point-to-point interface (PtP) as well as the MPI interface. This new CPU is completely maintenance-free, as the new memory module means a battery back-up is not needed.
