The Kewtech cable locator help users locate and detect cables. This cable locator is a portable instrument consisting of a transmitter, a receiver and some accessories. The transmitter sends to the target cable an alternating voltage modulated by digital signals, which generates an alternating electric field. Place the receivers sensor head close to this electric field, and the sensor will generate an induced voltage. The transmitter not only transmits signals, it also acts as an AC/DC voltmeter, so the instrument can display the voltage of the line under test, including AC/DC status, as well as a warning symbol when testing a live line.
