This is a new type of analog capacitive soil moisture sensor designed by DFRobot. Compared with the old soil moisture sensor, it has increased waterproof performance. In addition, the sensor still retains the built-in voltage regulator chip and supports a 3.3∼5.5V wide voltage working environment, which means that 3.3V main control boards such as control, micro:bit, ESP32, STM8/32 main control boards, etc. The sensor can still be used normally. On a mini PC like the Raspberry Pi, you only need an external ADC to work properly.
