Common applications

• Due to one side out of three cut design, barrette needle files can be used for a range of tasks that require precision. With two flat surfaces being blank, the barrette file can be used to deburr angles in intricate spaces without the accidental filing of unwanted surfaces.

What is the difference between a needle file and a standard file?

• Needle Files and standard files both come in a range of lengths, sizes, shapes and cuts to suit a wide range of applications and materials such as wood, plastic, metal and more. Need files are designed to be used for finer detail filing and access tight spaces with precision due to their slimline design whereas standard files are ideal for rapidly removing excess material and deburr larger areas quickly and efficiently.

Can it be used with a handle?

• RS PRO barrette files are compatible with our range of ergonomic RS PRO file handles to provide extra comfort and control.

File maintenance

• To keep your files clean and working efficiently, it is important to regularly clean them before and after use. A file card or wire brush are ideal as they can easily access the grooves of the file and clear out any dirt or debris that has built up.
