The RS PRO USB Type-C to serial adapter is a convenient way to control legacy serial components from your laptop, notebook or PC. The adapter supports handshake mode, meaning that exchange protocols are set up between the connected devices before data transfer begins. This enables automatic detection of data transfer speed and ensures data protection.
This USB serial cable adapter can transfer data at 1 MBit/s speed and is compatible with both Windows and Mac operating systems. It's 1.8 meters long and meets a host of international standards that ensure protection from damage due to electrostatic discharge (ANSI/ESD S20.20:2014 and BS EN 61340-5-1:2007). It's also fully RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) compliant. As it's part of our RS PRO range, this product has been strictly tested for durability.
