This panel-mount PID (proportional integral derivative) temperature controller from the RS PRO range expertly regulates process temperatures thanks to its clever control loop mechanism.
Standard controllers switch on and off only when the process temperature of equipment falls outside the desired range, which is an inefficient use of power. PID controllers are more sophisticated, using formulas to ensure process temperatures remain stable at the setpoint.
This controller is very easy to program and install. The temperature is displayed on a large, clear LED display which features 3-button operation. Panel mounting reduces strain on the electrical connections on the back of the connector and means it's simple to connect and disconnect.
Designed to offset temperature fluctuations, this PID controller is suitable for use in a variety of specialised industries. It performs better than standard heating devices at temperature-critical drying, heat treatment of industrial parts and the conditioning of sheet materials.
