Which host ports are compatible with this cable?

The host port must support DisplayPort over USB-C (DP Alt Mode)
it also works with USB4, Thunderbolt 3 and Thunderbolt 4 capable ports.

Are any drivers required to use it with a laptop?

No drivers or software are required
the cable operates natively via the host’s video alternate mode.

What limitation applies to some Apple devices?

Apple M1/M2 systems are limited to 4K60Hz over USB-C DP Alt Mode and cannot reach 8K60Hz.

How does the cable preserve signal quality over its length?

Adaptive receiver equalisation optimises the input signal and amplifies output, while integrated construction reduces failure points.
