StarTech.com Red Cat6 Cable, 3 m - N6PATC3MRD

This high-quality StarTech.com Cat6 cable ensures fast and reliable data transmission in office environments. It has 100% copper conductors for low resistance, along with gold connectors for excellent conductivity and durability, ensuring a strong and long-lasting connection. This male RJ45 cable is ideal for high-speed data connections or Power over Ethernet (PoE) devices, such as phone and security systems.

Features and Benefits

• Durable and reliableThe cable has a PVC (polyvinyl chloride) moulded strain relief to reduce the risk of breakage and prevent cable failure. It also has a snagless design with connector clips to prevent breaking during installation.
• Versatility and compatibilityThis Cat6 cable can serve multiple network devices and is also backwards-compatible with Cat5E and earlier standards for maximum versatility.

Applications

• Red sheath colour to allow for colour coding and organisation of your cables
• Durable PVC sheath for flexibility and resistance to corrosion and abrasion
• Length of 3 m for flexibility when connecting devices in your office space

StarTech.com have even added PVC molded strain relief for when the cable is bent at an acute angle, reducing the risk of cable failure, and increasing its longevity.

FAQs

• This patch cable supports power over ethernet (PoE), meaning you can provide up to 100W of power to devices like VOIP phone & security systems, and 4k or 1080p video streaming.

Does this cable need to be terminated prior to use?For easy installation, this cable comes pre-terminated. Simply plug it into your devices and use it right away.

24 AWG

• This cat6 features 24 AWG sized copper wires, which allow less resistance when carrying signals. It also produces less heat than other sizes and these two characteristics combined make it a perfect match for its 3m length. Using high-quality 100% copper conductors in this cat6 cable not only means that it's excellent value for investment, but it also specifically helps to reduce near end cross talk noise (NEXT), which boosts reliability in transferring data.

Gold Connectors

• Even better is that StarTech.com use 50-micron thick gold connectors to support the longevity of the cable. By using the thickest gold plating available, the network cable maintains a fast and reliable connection over a longer period of time, withstanding up to x4 as much throughput as a standard metal connector. The RJ45 connectors also eliminate signal loss due to corrosion.

This patch cable houses the wires in a durable red PVC jacket. For peace of mind, StarTech provide a lifetime warranty with all their cables.

Applications

• Use with Gigabit networks and connect PoE-enabled devices
• Patches one device to another, e.g. a hub to distribution panel
• Connects workstations via a wall outlet
• Deliver data, voice and video over Gigabit networks
